ENCHANTED RIVER

The town of Hinatuan in Barangay Cambatong lays the Hinatuan River which has become one of the most popular visited destination of tourist in the Philippines. The Enchanted River can be viewed from a steep slope from the road. Its riverbed is of limestone. The water is cool and brackish. Although, it is a wide misconception that countless divers have attempted to dive the bottom of the river and failed, this is not true. No None knows where the water comes from and flows into the Philippine Sea.

The Enchanted river has crystal-clear waters where you can see the riverbed even at the deepest part. If you look at the photos of the river you would think that they have been photoshopped but indeed this river is real. Hinatuan is a sleepy town in Surigao Del Sur in Mindanao and has gained a lot of fame because of the enchanted river.
One of the  unique features of the enchanted river is its unfathomable depth.  The dark blue color in the river simply means the water is very deep. The enchanted river has the most magical moment; at exactly 12 noon the caretaker rings the bell requesting everyone to get out from the water as is “feeding time” where you can see the different fishes gather to eat. When feeding time is over the fishes disappear or at least become more inconspicuous.

Despite of the  unexplainable mysteries that surround the enchanted river, tourists are satisfied with the spectacular beauty seeing the place. It is indeed captivating and mesmerising. After visiting to the Enchanted River you will be speechless and breathless from seeing this majestic river.

 ASIK- ASIK FALLS

Asik-Asik were located at  Sitio Dulao, Upper Dado, Alamada, North Cotabato. The spring falls is very amazing because there is no stream above the hill where the water comes. The water is springing from the rocks. Where you can see a beautiful curtain of waterfalls.The Asik-asik Falls the name comes from a Hiligaynon term, which means to sprinkle.

The Asik-asik Falls resemble a curtain of spring waters flowing down from a jade wall covered in lush foliage. It’s the kind of sight that should be experienced on its own, as pictures don’t do justice to the fantastic scenery.

The way of getting there was not easy you must have to endure the  half an hour of bumpy ride using motorbike and climb down the 376 stone steps before getting there you will be amazed. But all the long ride and half of hour riding it's worth it just to catch a glimpse and enjoy this gem of nature.
